Stage 2 food help

Asked by mewskichan. Newbie
My son is coming up to 8 months old and he won't eat any stage 2 food and only mashed food I can get him to try is a banana. My HV told me to keep trying but that's a bit useless advice! Are there any things I can use that are good beginner foods to mash up like the banana? Are there any stage 2 ready made food that you have found to be easier for moving from purée to lumps? Cow & Gate seem bit too chunky, Organix seem better but he still won't have anything to do with it unless it's a banana and even then it's small and soft lumps. Also he loves rice cakes, carrot sticks and baby biscuits, he has no problems with finger foods at all! It's just food which may require bit of chewing.

Let the fussy kids eat what they want?

Asked by sarah_ma1. Newbie Lucky ChatPRO News Like
Now when I say 'fussy kids' I think a lot of kids go through the phase of only wanting certain foods! So we were talking about it at work the other day and one person was saying their kid would only eat pasta and salt and vinegar crisps, so we all gave him helpful suggestions of which he had tried all of poor guy and one person said well it doesn't matter what they eat at that age as long as they're eating enough to keep their little bodies with the energy they need.... Interesting theory, what do we think? x
