Slapped cheek in pregnancy

Asked by smileyhappy. Newbie Lucky ChatPRO News Like
Hoping someone will have advice and or experience. Iv just had a call from a friend whose lo has slapped cheek. The doctor told her to to inform any pregnant women that her son had been in contact with as slapped cheek can be very dangerous in pregnancy and I saw him and was in close contact with him last Monday and Tuesday. I also gave a rash down the sides of my face so I'm now panicking. I thought the rash was just spots or something because of pregnancy hormones but i didn't have anything like it in my first pregnancy. I stupidly googles slapped cheek in pregnancy and apparently it's very dangerous. Has anyone else had slapped cheek in pregnancy? Should I phone midwife/gp? My friend said on the phone that I should go in to be tested to see if I had it/ if I had immunity to it. Very worried, I'm 20 weeks preg x

Hayfever!!

Asked by nifagurgleEditor. Newbie Chat Like
Just thought i'd leave a little not for anyone who, like me is suffering really badly with hayfever, usualy mine is manageable but has been quite bad today. Went into boots and spoke to my favourite pharmacist who is always right about EVERYTHING and asked him what i can take. You can't take anything with the active ingredient Loratadine! unfortunately this is usually used in hayfever tablets to stop the side effect of drowziness. So i have been given piriton which makes you drowzy and so will all the hayfever releif tableta you can take whilst pregnant!

Had a pelvic scan 2day And doc says it LOOKS like, its NOT cancerous. (which is something, i suppose.)
