Hi my son is 6 months and has now mastered the knack of rolling over onto his tummy. All to be expected and is fine during the day, but in the middle of the night he keeps doing it and then starts crying because he cant roll back. This is quite draining,i have tried tucking in the sleeping bag into the end of the cot, but he wriggles so much it comes loose. Anyone else been in this predicament? He is my 4th baby, and i dont ever remember them doing it, but then it was 10 years ago, so ive probably just forgotten.Any suggestions very much needed. Thanks.

Hi my daughter is 5mths and just learned to roll over yesterday. She managed to roll back but then again didn't have any cover on her. I'm the same as I can't remember what we did with our son so will be interested to find out what other people's suggestions are.
As it's so warm now do you think Josh would sleep just in a sleepsuit? That way his legs would be free to move about more and he might roll back over himself? x
I dont think he likes it on his tummy too much, he will last for a few minutes and then cry.He is a big baby, and i think its a bit harder for him to try and push himself back over.Thank you for your replies,i will just have to try and teach him how to roll back over.

Hi my son is also just turned 6months and has been rolling over for 6weeks now but when he first started i had the same problem. so what i done was when he went down for his sleep in the day i would put him down on his belly he got a little upset at first but i just stayed with him and give his bum a gentle rock and patted his back and he soon went off, after 3 days he went straight to sleep with out me and i still put him on his back of a night but on the 3rd night also, i got a full nights sleep. when i went into him in the morning he was on his tummy but hadnt woke as he had got used to in the day. he is very mobile now and never know what positon im going to find him in now!
also you could try letting him play on his tummy as much as possible in the day.
