Pregnancy after fertility treatment

Pregnancy after fertility treatment

If you’ve suffered months, even years of infertility, finding out you’re pregnant will be a very special moment – but not without its concerns.

You may be an older mom, or pregnant with twins or multiples – either way, you’ll be monitored very closely during your pregnancy. Plenty of women go on to have successful pregnancies and healthy babies following fertility treatment, so there is no need for you to place extra worry on yourself about your baby’s wellbeing. After all the stress of trying to conceive, its now time to let your body take over and try to relax as much as possible.

You can help your baby staying healthy, eating well, and keeping your stress levels low. Now is the time to indulge in that massage you’ve been planning, or to do some gentle exercise like swimming – and above all, to enjoy feeling your growing baby somersaulting inside you. See our guide to a healthy diet during pregnancy for help on eating well.

Now you’re pregnant stage, it might be time to meet other women who are experiencing pregnancy after a fertility treatment. Why not post a message on to our chat forum, or form a group of moms who have been through similar experiences as you? To meet other moms in a similar stage of pregnancy as you see our people section.
