Quirky baby names

Quirky baby names

A ‘quirky’ name means one that’s unconventional and perhaps even slightly off-the-wall! Remember, though, your child will have to live with this name, so choose carefully.

It’s great to have a name that’s a tad different and not run-of-the-mill, but you also want your child to be proud of it.

Quirky names are individual and make a statement . They’re creative choices, which are unusual yet simultaneously quite classic. So if you decide to name your baby something slightly off-beat, you can’t now guarantee that they’ll be the only one in their class with that name. It might be a good idea to go to your local park and sit for a while listening to which names parents are calling out to their children. You may have thought Flynn was original until you discover half the playground is called Flynn too! Names come and go, so even when you think you are being original there may be a whole generation of children snapping at your child’s heels that go by the same name he does!
