Cuddles halve baby tantrums
Giving your baby cuddles can halve the time she spends crying, say researchers after a month-long study.
Most parents hug their babies for about two-and-a-half hours a day, but researchers claim that babies cuddled for five hours a day cry on average 50 per cent less than usual.
The findings emerged after a month-long study of 100 British parents by Wikinet. The research backs previous studies showing that cuddles release the feel-good hormone oxytocin, which helps to lower your stress levels.
