Dreaming strange dreams

Dreaming strange dreams

Pregnant women often have strange dreams, especially in the third trimester (weeks 29-40). Dreaming about your baby is common and this is the place where your anxieties and worries may find expression – this is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

Dreams may concern such subject matter as death, being chased and hurt, losing things (the baby, keys etc), not being able to cope, sex, infidelity, dreams about the baby being deformed and being unable to escape. These different types of dream tend to express the worries about impending motherhood that pregnant women are likely to have. It’s your unconscious mind working through your thoughts and anxieties.
