Large amounts of progesterone coursing through your system mean fatigue in early pregnancy and problems sleeping in later pregnancy. It has also been reported that the sleep you have inclines more towards the less restful REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage. Because of this, and the physical problems associated with sleeping in pregnancy, it’s important that you do all in your power to make sure you fight the sleep snatchers!
