Concord Spin

In a Nutshell
This ultra-compact folding model would complement the swankiest of modern kitchens and makes a fine compromise between great design and everyday practicality.

Features
The predominantly aluminium Spin has telescopic legs that enable it to be set to one of four height positions, and the tray that comes with it can be stored on the back of the chair when it’s not being used.

Practicality
No matter how much glass and chrome your kitchen boasts, the Spin won’t look out of place. The cushions are easy to wipe down, but the seat does have hard-to-reach cracks, and it doesn’t recline.

Wow Factor
This can be folded normally or, thanks to the central hinge, the seat can be folded down first, to form a tiny package ready to be slung into a car boot (a carry bag is included), and as it weighs a mere 5.6kg, it is truly portable.

Nit-picking
The main trade-off is comfort. This can mostly be resolved with a seat insert, which spoils the look. Less easily sorted out is a slight lack of adjustability and having just a three-point harness.
