Hi Sorry to hear you had ba advice from the get go, but you need to stimulate you milk production, get a breast pump so that you can express your milk also to increase your milk flow, get Gina Fords book contented baby i swear by it and it really helped me i struggled Bf my first son for 3 months now on my 2nd she didn't bf for 2days after birht but since following the routines she is 4months and is happy to bf or bottle and ahe has days were she prefers one over the other. Good luck, try breastfeeding support website this will tell you if there are any breastfeeding groups and councellors in your area , or try NCT or lal leche for more info.
i started out with breasfeeding but she made my nipples really cracked an dsore so had to bottlefeed in hospital before i was discharged i asked now they were healing an dmilk had come in could i try breast again and the midwife was not very helpful she was like well after a bottle they dont tend to go to breast you can try but it may just cause more confusion for baby so i staye dbottle at home the tomee tippee ones then yesterday my usual midwife came and i told her how i wa sgutted couldnt breastfeed she said why not if baby drinks from tomee tippee and i have some milk try and see have nipple shields handy and give it a go and top up with bottle after breast so i tried that but now not sure if baby is getting milk from me some feeds she has breast no bottle others refuses breat and has bottle and some both any one else had this problem and any advice?? baby is now 4days and been doing both for 1day
