hi girls (& guys :-)
what do you think of my short list for girls names below...we both have agreed (and love) the name 'Emily'...but worried that this is now TOO common/popular, as iv been surfing the net and they keep saying best not to pic from the top 10 popular names and emily is 4th,...do you think it matters if there too common?....i love the traditional, pretty names.
reply on your faves out of these please and your HONEST comments greatly appreciated as i love all of them.
The middle name is flexible guys and bear in mind our last name is quite long (waddington) xxx

Emily Rose (or 'Millie Rose')
Abigail
Annabel
lillian rose (Lily rose)
Isabelle (love as you can have so many cute nicknames)
Isabel
Isabella
Evelyn

(middles name suggestions, 'Ruby, 'May, 'Rose' )

A poll on your faves please girls xxx

Hi every body, I'm trying for a baby but already have an idea on names. I like names that are historical. I love to read all the old English tales of King Arthur, Robin Hood etc and think this has had a bearing on my choices. For a girl I like Eve or Neibh (pronounced neeve) For a boy I like Tristan. I also like the name Ivy for a girl, anyone think this is too dated?

hello every1 i am having a baby in november and trying to think of traditional old fashioned names i dont knwo what im having so im open to suggestions for boys and girls please .
Traditional names for boys:
William, Charles (Charlie), James, Rowan, George, Robert, Richard, David, Samuel.

Girls:
Sophie, Iris, Grace, Irene, Matilda, Olivia, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane, Alexandra, Margaret.

Apparently people with traditional names statistically end up with higher paid/ more responsible jobs. But I'm not sure how true that is. BUT I can see that if your child were to end up being Prime Minister they might be better off being called Elizabeth than Pixie or Chardonnay....
