It wasn't a question but I took my sister to the hospital when she was in labour and she was almost ready to give birth and she got on the bed and was saying i'm pushing i'm pushing the baby is coming out and the midwife quietly said to her "the baby is not coming out whilst you still have your pants on" oops minor detail hey sis. X X
one of my friends had a baby the same time as me. we were talking about weaning and making our own foods up and freezing them. i had some spare ice cube trays that i gave her. about a wk later she said. ive bought so many trays im running out of room in the freezer, how do you find room in yours. said that i put the cubes into bags and write the date and what food is. oh she said thats such a good idea and it will save me money!
when i was in labour with my daughter not long over 2 years ago i doing the whole pushin thing and started crying and trying to kick my midwife away from me.she asked what was wrong so i started crying out "im pooing,im pooing, push it back in" i honest to god thought i was about to poop all over the midwife, she reassurred me that no i was not pooing but in her words not mine "you have just piddled on me though dear" she found it ever so funny, whereas i could have died with embarrassment, looking back i really laugh about that alot and i was lucky to have a good midwife,i wonder what embarrassing thing ill do in this labour??!!

OMG I don't think I've ever laughed so much at a post. This is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for sharing!!! I must admit though, it's one of the things that I'm dreading but on the plus side I know I'll also be able to laugh about it afterwards and if this thread is still going, I'll share too :o))
When I was pregnant with my first child I went to the antenatal classes. I supressed my question for 4 weeks but in the end it had to come out-how do you make sure your baby has an inny and not an outy? The midwife tried to brush it aside but a number of other mums spoke up as well. Never did get an answer
i actually wondered this, but i read a book called 'why do men have nipples' and in there it says you cant choose, and it has nothing to do with how close the midwife ties / cuts the cord, it's just one of those things, down to genetics, where it falls of in the end.
great stories by the way, i'm sure i'll have one or two to add when i fall x
