I am now 33 weeks pregnant and ive been expeiencing braxton hicks contractions for some time now, up until yesterday they were painless but uncomfortable. Last night at 3am I was woken by a really painfull BH, and between the hours of 3am and 6.30am i couldnt sleep as i got a further 5 BH. Throughout the day Ive probably had about another 5 BH but they were nowere near as painful as in the night. I was just wondering if this is normal to have so many, and for them to be painful. They only really lasted for about 30 seconds each one. I just dnt want to go into labour before 37 weeks.

I got them a lot too, but they eased off in the last 3 or 4 weeks before my little was born. I made it to 37 wks and 1 day.
As mummyov said, check with your midwife, always the best thing to do. :)
