Hi my names Ruth, mum to Ryan and I had Braxton Hicks between 24 and 34 weeks in my pregnacy, at all times I had mild pain with them I. In the end I was induced and even then Ryan had to be pulled head first in to the world by a few docotors and midwifes. If your worried (as I was) just call your midwife or the CMW number on the front of your maturnity notes, thats what the're there for. (I called them all the time and I was calling my doctor at the hospital every 5 minutes)
I am now 33 weeks pregnant and ive been expeiencing braxton hicks contractions for some time now, up until yesterday they were painless but uncomfortable. Last night at 3am I was woken by a really painfull BH, and between the hours of 3am and 6.30am i couldnt sleep as i got a further 5 BH. Throughout the day Ive probably had about another 5 BH but they were nowere near as painful as in the night. I was just wondering if this is normal to have so many, and for them to be painful. They only really lasted for about 30 seconds each one. I just dnt want to go into labour before 37 weeks.
Hi i used to get bh alot walkin would bring them on it would take 30min to do what should have been a 10min walk because i would be in pain. But even though they are normal do mention them to you mw next time you see her and keep an eye on themm to make sure thay dont becoume regular.
