Hi wondered if anyone did both if one of the antenatal classes. I just want to know if its worth doing th nct one or not, they seem really expensive for only a two day course. Do they tell you alot more than the hospital ones? are they worth the money. I have visions on the hospital one just being a tour around the maternity unit or it it more than this. Sorry haven't a clue and any advice would be appreciated. thank you x

We watched a video of a water birth and played some ice breaker games. She showed us how the baby fit through the pelvis and showed us how to bath baby. We could also just ask questions. I did make 2 friends from there as well but that was just down to us swapping numbers they don't take contacts and arrange anything - worth doing both i'd say.

Hi I did both and the NCT ones were more in depth also the NCT make a concious effort to get your gtoup to stay in contact by giving a support mum who will co ordinate your 'meet ups' so you will make new 'baby friends' my son is 16 months old and we still meet up once a week - I couldn't have got through the last 16 months without them!
