you cant get vaccinated against chicken pox so it doesnt really matter that he hasnt had his jabs yet, there is a chance he could get them since chicken pox is contagious b4 the spots come out, so i would keep an eye on him if he gets a high temp or ne kinda rash get him to the gp
you can be vaccinated against chickenpox, but you have to pay for the jab private because you cant get it on the NHS. Its common practice in the US though, i am definately having my baby vaccinated as my son was admitted to hospital after his chicken pox got so severe and he developed a secondary infection. ( this is rare thought and normaly chickenpox is nothing to worry about).
I would sayno needto keep him away from other children, but maybe make other parents aware he's been exposed, you'll prob find that he doesnt get them because hes so young he'll still have immunity from you. is he breast fed?
Also if ournephew came out in spots the very next day he prob was past the contagious stage anyway.
eitherway best to get them out the way hope your little ones ok though.
My 5 got chicken pox last summer my youngest was just 3 weeks at the time. The only thing the gp told me to watch out was for him getting chesty
Unfortunetly the spots aren't any smaller so it doen't look very nice and of course he wasn't old enough for calpol. But he was fine.
xx

My 5 year nephew came to see my 6 week old baby yesterday. Tonight my sister in law called and said my nephew has broken out in chickenpox. Elliot hasn't had his immunisations yet, he's due them in 2 weeks. Will he get chickenpox now? Should I keep away from other children?
