Hi my little boy is teething at the moment and he seems to be in quite a lot of pain. He used to be a really good feeder but now he hardly eats anything and he is always grizzling which is unlike him. He was also sleeping through and now we get erratic waking in the night not for food just seems in pain. The doctor told me to give him calpol on a regular basis to help him eat more but that does not help and he has suddenly become really windy as well with an upset tummy. I have tried dentonix teething gel and ashton and parson powders. Is there anything else I can try as im concerned he is not eating much and dont like seeing him like this. We were in a really good routine but now were not. Thanks

try freezing carrot sticks or a banana for him to chew on the cold will ease the pain, just make sure you supervise so he doesnt go swallowing a chunk. i must say the ashton and parsons worked wonders with my litle one but then he didnt get a tooth till he was a year old!
i'm sure once the tooth/teeth cut he'll be back to his old self eating and sleeping, dont worry bout what hes eating as long as hes getting plenty of fluids, i'm afraid you'll just have to put up it until it settles, and it will settle dont worry.

try teething rings that can be used in the fridge some babies like cold things in thier mouths while theyre teething. mine didnt like them but i know people who have been successful with them. mine had to be settled with dummies and occasionally an extra bottle.

our baby had teething symptoms for about 4 months but didnt get any till about 8.5 to 9 months, hes 10 months now and got 2 bottom teeth. he was grizzly, up at nighttime, etc. we just use to give him an extra bottle, tried water, ashton and parsons powders, a couple of times, bonjella once I think, cant remember!!! and lots of pacing the floor and cuddles.
he will settle eventually, sorry
