Bleeding this morning

Hi everyone woke up to quite a shock of heavy bleeding today and went straight to hospital. Got an internal and cervix was closed, then they checked for the heartbeat and it was very clear and strong. However i just cant relax now and im so worried that something bad is going to happen. Can anyone who has been in my position give me some advice on how to calm myself down now and try to avoid this happening again. P.S. i have my 20 week scan on friday so hopefully that will help somewhat.
