iv just found out that im have my first baby! im really scared n im only 18 and i really want it but my mum and dad want me to get rid of it wot should i do me nthe babys dad are really happy bout it n getting on really well any 1 with any advice?

I fell pregnant at 17..back then (16 yrs ago), it was like falling pregnant at 13!
My dad went mad, demanding i abort. My mum told me a baby was a gift from god.
I decided to abort. When i spoke to my Gp about my decision, she asked me to forget my friends and family..and ask myself what I wanted. I wanted my baby.
As i got big and my baby kicked, my dad warmed up to the idea..and now 15 (almost 16) years later, i have the most beautiful, intelligent and loving daughter i could ever have wished for. My dad adores her!
It wasnt always easy, being young i missed out on a few silly things like clubbing, and money was a big issue. But i have no regrets..in many ways she was my god send.
My advice to you is think about YOU. Parents 9/10 do come round..they just want you to be happy and are probably scared your going to miss out. Dont be angry with them, just stick to your guns and be patient.

hi yeah we are happy im just upset that my mum will not be there for me but was for my sister.im goin to go ahead with it got a scan n midwife today cant wait i only found out yesterday i was carrying im about 9weeks now and thank you evry much 4 ur advice

Hi hun, glad to see i'm not the only one awake at this hour ! DONT let ur parents decide for you, if u and your partner r happy then go for it, you are an adult now and your parents cannot make this decision for you. I beleive that everything happens for a reason! As long as you and your partner r happy to bring a child into the world and give it all the love and care it needs then don't let anybody stop you. If ur parents pressure you into having an abortion it could be one of your biggest regrets if its not what you want too. Good Luck and Many Congratulations ! x
