Hi Everyone, I just wanted to find out if this was normal or not. I will be 26 weeks on Thursday and for the past couple of week it's been really sore when i walk, the pain seams to be coming from what i would call my public bones, just under my bump. Is anyone else finding this or just me???? :-(

Yeh id say your suffering from SPD too, im 30 weeks now and the pain has been getting increasingly worse the bigger im getting but it is bearable as long as im careful. Im finding i just need to get the right balance of excercise and rest each day. My midwife referred me for physio which i went to this morning, shes given me some exercises to strengthen the area. Good luck x
Thanks everyone, I called the midwife and she said it's normal to fee this pain when walking, she suggested that i visit my doctor who should be able to give me something to help the pain, so I have got an appointment on Thursday at 4.40pm.

I am finding it really sore when walking no matter what time of the day it is.....................the joys of being pregnant I suppose!!

Thanks again

It does sound like SPD, especially if it is worse in the morning and when you over exercise. it is caused by a horomone called Relaxin. The only thing you can really do is move both legs together when getting out of bed, do not over do it and if it does get to bad speak to your midwife, she maybe able to supply some supports. Hope everything is OK

Hi Elaine, I'm feeling your pain. My hips and back are killing, nowhere else though, is that SPD you're talking about? - I'm worried as still got 15 weeks to go! Went on a long dog walk at the weekend an actually thought I was going to collapse - no more of that for me!

Then to top it all off I missed the bus today and had to walk to work today - slowly as it was icy, so hips are hurting now...

Starting to exit the 'blooming' stage i think... :( xxx
