I too started to worry about my little one, she would have her last bottle about 9o'clock and sleep right through to 10o'clock in the morning. I count my lucky stars that she is a good baby but did worry. I spoke to my HV she said as long as she continues to put on weight and have wet nappies not to panic. If she wants another bottle she will definatley let me know. Make the most of it, we are the lucky few !!!
If your baby is sleeping well and gaining weight then she is getting enough to eat and does not need to be woken for a feed in the night. Don’t worry about what other people’s babies are doing, every baby is different and even two babies in the same family will have different feeding and sleeping habits and patterns. You are doing very well to have such a contented baby! If your baby is hungry she will wake and demand more food – until such time – let sleeping babies lie! Your friends will probably be very jealous and will want to know your secret! Your health visitor will keep an eye on your daughter’s weight and if it starts to level out or drop she will recommend increases in the amount she takes during the day but it should rarely be necessary to wake a baby at night for a feed if she is happy and healthy in all other aspects of her development.
YOur a lucky lady to. My LO did this from 7weeks she is now only 4mnths and still only takes 4feeds a day she just got weighed and is 15lbs just above the 75th percentile. So lucky us, i'm hoping the teehing doesn't wake her it didn't my 1st who was sleeping through from 12wks.
Can I just say how lucky you lot are?! My little one is 8 months & has only just started to go without his feed but still wakes up a few times a night for me to put his dummy in! I wouldn't worry about your little girl. If she was hungry she would wake. If she is putting the weight on she is fine. Hopefully she will stay sleeping like a little angel for you x
Yes that sounds normal don't panick, I thought the same when my daughter started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks! She is now nearly 3 and occasionally wakes up in the night! Enjoy it whilst it lasts cos when she starts teething sleepless nights start again, just when your just used to sleeping through again!!
i think aslong as she is gaining weight ok then she should be fine my baby is 3 weeks and only wakes once for a feed hv said its fine aslong as she has wet nappys and is happy she is obviously content or she wouldnt sleep she would wake for a feed :)
My 9 week old baby is sleeping for 12 hours at night. She goes down at 7.30 and waking at about 7.30 in the morning. I know that is great but im worried she isnt getting enough to eat. She is taking about 22oz during the day. Is this enough for her? She is gaining weight fine.
I dont want to wake her at night for a feed as this may teach her to wake during the night.
