At your first midwife meeting she will ask loads of questions about your medical history, plus that of your immediate family and husband, she will also take blood samples and blood pressure, then she will ask if you have any questions and what kind of mum you are going to be, ie breastfeeding, what kind of birth you want etc. It will take about 1/2 hour to an hour x Lucy x
thank you, everyone is telling lots of different things and i don't know what to believe!
i'm not too happy about the blood samples... i hate them.
my mum has been winding me up, saying the needle is so long it will go in one arm and out the other. how cruel is she? (LOL)
xx
thank you, i'll mention it to her when i see her first. sorry about the late reply!
how far on are you?
do you know what happens at your first meeting with the midwife?

I used to have really sore nipples in the early stages if I got cold. Not sure if this is what you mean but I used to wear breast pads and lots of layers of clothes to keep warm. I found it was better to try and prevent it as once I was in pain not much helped apart from a hot water bottle.
thanks for the advice!!
i really appreciate it!

My breasts ached till i was nearly 20weeks till they stopped. Unfortunately it is one of those lovely sideaffects of pregnancy , hot and cold compressed worked and a really sportive BRA i would suggest a sports BRa as unwired BRAs are not good during pregnancy. Hope this helps it will pass , just hold on in there. x
