It's the same old same old but 'not' thinking about it worked for me. In the first couple of months I was using ov sticks etc and getting really frustrated as my cycle was all over the place after coming off the pill. After about 4 months I gave up and just thought I'd let my body settle down before trying to work out when I was ovulating etc. I was v busy with work and completely forgot about it then lo and behold, had some symptoms, went off me cuppas so did a test and was pregnant! My doc told me to expect it to take about 9 months and because I had irregular periods I expected it to take longer to be honest. I'd say just enjoy the baby dancing and let nature take it's course!! :) xx
The best advise I can give you is stop trying. We have been trying for 3 years off and on, caught on a few times but lost them at 6/7 weeks. We have now managed it third time lucky, this time took about 1 year. We were just going on the waiting list for artificial insemmination when we decided to have a holiday and forget about it till December, I swear the stress gone we caught on. Am now 4 months pregnant and to date all seems ok.
It is far easier said then done forgetting about it, but it seems to do the trick - trust me.
Thanks for this, I'll try! I am glad you have got lucky again, I hope the pregnancy continues to be healthy and lasts :o) xx

The best tip I can give you personally is.....Stop trying!! Obviously still have your unprotected sex and stuff but if you stop listening to your body and try not to think about trying it will just happen.....It worked for me anyway. I was trying for 4 months and was quite stressed about it in the first 3 months. On the 4th month i decided to stop worrying about it and try to keep my mind on other things.....Then on the 5th month, i got my BFP!! Im now 7 weeks tomorrow.
Just relax huni and have fun trying, im sure it will happen for you xxx
I am pretty relaxed about it e.g. i dont use ovulation tests etc. The onyl reason I am listening to my body is because of the missed period. After I know for sure if I am preg or not I will stop worrying and listening! If I am WHOOO, if I'm not, then I'll just go back to letting nature take it's course! Congratulations to you :o) xx
Hi I'm in a similar situation to you. Have been trying since august but have had random cycle lengths. Am just gonna make sure we get plenty of 'it' and try not to look into it too much. I thought i might be preg this month and did 2 tests but came on today. I got to the stage where i was noticing 'symptoms' but they were obviously just normal stuff cos i'm not pregnant! Christmas will be a good time to relax (hopefully)! so that should help. x
Good luck to you. I don't think I've ever had random cycle lengths. I have never been more than 2 days late, thats why this missed period means so much to me. When did you take the 2 tests, how late for your period were you? What 'symptoms' did you think you noticed? Hope it happens for you soon x
To those of you who have finished 'trying' and those still trying. How do you cope? I've only been trying for 3 months but now I have a missed period and all it seems so much more real! I've suddenly gone from just enjoying lots of making love and hoping for the best, to listening to EVERYTHING my body does and becoming obsessed with preg tests! I am so, so frightened my period will come next month. I feel like I am losing my mind and the time between me getting a BFP or a period will last forever. Any hints or tips on how to deal with this stress?!?!
