Blimey, she's lucky!!! firstly that her daughter is healthy and secondly that she didn't suffer any pregnancy symptoms!!
yes i aggree she was lucky, she wasnt a big drinker but did smoke same amount (obviously until she found out) then stopped. i dont know how she could not have realised she was pregnant but i suppose she brushed her symptoms off as other things. but really hun dont worry about it as long as you know not to do it again, stressing yourself about it can cause more problems x
Well done for quitting, thats a great achievement chick ! the only thing the EPU said to me when i had the ectopic was something about the tubes contracting due to smoking and causing the baby to get stuck but this would be within 2 weeks of conception so i'm sure theres nothing for you to worry about ! i think most of the stories you hear to be hones are more scare tactics than anything else x x
congrats on quitting i have quit both times while pregnant and i know its not easy. dont feel guilty you wont have done any damage plenty of women dont even bother giving up. just try to keep up the good work and dont keep doing it or you'll make yourself feel even more guilty. x
yes i agree do not beat yourself up about it, alot of people dont know there pregnant in the first trimester and are still smoking, drinking etc so i wouldnt worry about it. my friend didnt know she was pregnant until she had 6 weeks left!!(i know how could you not know) and was still living her normal life smoking and drinking and her daughter is fine, so really dont beat yourself up, x x

Hi, don't be too hard on yourself, things happen your baby will be fine take care and relax x x x
Rest assured a couple of cigarettes are not going to damage your baby- so stop beating yourself up and stop worrying. Stress is likely to do a lot more harm. Smoking is certainly not good for babies (they join in while they share our circulation) and babies tend to be smaller if mothers smoke throughout pregnancy- but I know of no evidence that a single evening of smoking will do any harm. Just try and quit again ASAP.

last night i stayed at a friends house, who smokes, and as i've quit smoking for a while i had a few cigarettes. now i feel horrible, it was pathetic to give in to them and 'm really beating myself up about it. how much damage can two or three cigarettes do to a baby? not much... is it?
I wouldn't have thought 2 or 3 on one occasion would do damage to your baby. I don't think a bit of guilty is a bad thing though, as this is what will stop you having any more!! Don't beat yourself up too much though, you don't need to be getting yourself into a state for one slip up x
