Forces Mummies

I have set up this group to hopefully help other forces wives/girlfriends as I found it quite lonely being away from friends and family in a strange place. Having a baby made that more noticeable. Hopefully we can help and support each other.

Hi Steph,
Hope you are ok. We r based in Belgium until Jan 2009. We are hopefully going back to Devon then. Really missing the seaside!! Alex is my 1st baby and I'm loving every minute of it. He is doing well and loves blowing bubbles and raspberries. Entertains himself for ages with it. I have a niece who is 16 months old and they are coming to visit next month and I havn't seen her since she was 6 months. I can't wait. Well I will end here.
Take care

This is my 1st quarter aswell and to start we were in a hiring where none of the neighbours spoke english and I can't speak french. I had no transport and it was a horrid walk to the base while pregnant. We are now in living on the brit patch and the walk is stroller friendly. I have found it easier to make friends since having Alex, it givesd me something to talk about. I also go to baby massage and a playgroup. We have just been extended abroad so I have to try and do more things to meet people. I am going to go a lapsit n read group this year. My new years resolution! Hope you had a good new year and 1st christmas. Talk soon. Take care
