i find that the britax convertible carseats seem to be more comfy, at least compared to graco(hard as a rock, i hate graco). i'd like to get one of the maxi-cosi, they're so nice!

Hi, I'm having a similar problem, as i drive a 1977 Vw camper van, my friend said there is a car seat that is fully secure with a lap belt, but cant remember what it was called, I'll get back to you on that one. All the shops seem to have a get out clause if you drive something unusual.
Hi, the Britax Freeway can be fitted with a lap belt only but it is showing as a discontinued line on their website but you may be able to still find one in a small independent shop. Hope this helps!

I Dont know myself but halford were excellent when we went to get my sons forward facing seat.
So mayby try there you could just call them they should be able to help.

Does anybody know of a car seat that will fit in an old style mini ?
Have spent 3 hours in mothercare and they seem unable to help.
