Hi there, have you thought about a push along with bricks? Toddle trucks they are called,he could play with the bricks at the moment and then later on the truck will help his mobility skills. My kids loved the bricks and were stacking them quite early on,as well as banging and throwing them!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a Christmas pressie for my 6 month old son? I want something of decent size/price for his main present, something that will last him for a while too. Having difficulty finding something!!!

The ride on thing that cdiryder mentioned is fab. We used the mothercare one and my son is now 21 months and still uses it - but as a rider now. He loves it.

Hi i'm getting my son (he will be 6 months) a sit on ride thing! it's from 6 months to 36 months so i thought a great investment. it starts off as a sit on rocker (with straps and guard) and progresses with them to a ride on with wheels, a push a long and it has a parent handle to push it. It is in Mothercare (own brand) and Argos (chicco) between £50 - £ 60 depending if you get the 5 in 1 or 7 in 1.
