'Unusual/Normal' compromise help?

Helloooo. Both me and my partner have a major problem & need a bit of help, we don't agree on any names... at all! Where I prefer super unusual names such as Sunshine, Loxley, California, Serenity and Constance, he leans more towards names like Layla, Saxon, AJ, and Ruby. We've come to an agreement on the middle names though (Thank God!) and have decided on Faith for a girl (after my mother) and Albert for a boy (honoring my grandfather). Any suggestions for a compromise? I'd rather not have a name in the top 100 of popular names but I'm open to anything now! Thank yooouuu in advance!

have you thoought bout changing the spelling of one of the names your partner likes to make it more unusual? this can get frustrating tho when people spell or pronounce it wrong later mind you. my sister spells her name katharine but most people spell it wrong- only ones who spell it right outside of immediate family are the inland revenue! x x

how about double-barrelling the first name Layla-Sunshine , serenity-rose etc xxx you can still have middle names with a double barrelled christian name xxx Layla-Sunshine Faith is a gorgeous name for a girl xxx
I have to be honest i love unusual names but i am with your OH on this one, but as it's a decision that you have to make together i'd have to agree with Helen. Double barreling seems like a very good compromise.

We've choosen Madoc if we have a boy and Erin-rose if we have a girl.

Good luck and i hoep you come to a friendly decision soon!

How about one of you pick the boys name and one of you pick the girls name? that way you each get a choice and no arguements!
