Hi all. Well, I found out last week that I am pregnant, 5 weeks tomorrow. Yesterday, I started getting very mild stomach aches. Not pains, just a dull ache every now and again. When I wiped, small amount of pink blood. Today it has turned to brown blood and ache is not as bad. Is this normal? I rang my GP, spoke to the triage nurse who said, oh yes, probably miscarriage, just wait for it to happen. Nice hey. Has anyone else had this, now worried to death, and want to change GP!!
Hi All. Thanks for your kind comments. It was definitely a miscarriage, went to the Dr today and it was confirmed. I told her how I had been treated throughout, and she was shocked at how cold people had been to me. As some of you have said, it may be common, but not to me!! Anyway, she said that we can try again as soon as I ovulate, so out come the kits again!! Fingers crossed for next time... but thanks for the support guys. xxxx

Hiya, it might not be a miscarrage tho, i bled when I was 10 weeks and shortly after had such a bad stomach pain i was so scared but i called my doctor and he arranged an emergency appt, but speak to your gp not a nurse that answers the phone
hope it works out
Hi, sorry to hear your bad news. Thinking of you xx
I am so sorry about your miscarriage. I just think they see so many miscarriages, they think its so common, 1 in 3 my midwife told me last time, that they forget that its not common to you, and you dont care about the statistics. Its arwful. Like Danni said, pull together with your husband and make sure you talk about it xx
Awwwwww im so sorry to hear that. i know what u mean these nurses and midwives are so cold when i had a scan to confirm my mc she just said right nothing there clean ur self up then sent me out the room in floods of tears (i was 16 years old!) i thought it was a caring profession. hope u and ur partner get through this hard time together and go on to have a beautiful baby as soon as ur ready to try again good luck for he future xxxx
Hi, I had exactly the same thing at 5 then 10 weeks with my first baby. Here are the two things that my GP told me before sending me for a scan; If the blood is pink or brown it's unlikely to be a miscarrage, this usually has red blood. Also you would have a lot of pain if you were loosing the baby. It sounds to me like implantation bleeding which is fairly common. My little one is now 16 months and the bleeding didn't affect my pregnancy.
I'd speak to a different GP and ask to be referred to your local Early Pregnancy Unit.
Bad news. Yesterday I had a miscarriage. The hospital didnt want to know, the midwife told me to go home and wait for it to pass, and basically I feel totally let down. Just because I was only 5 weeks doesnt mean the disappointment is any less. Fed up now. My husband has been an absolute rock, but worried about him too. Oh dear, back to the drawing board as they say.....
oh hunni, i'm sorry to hear that. i know what you mean, it doesn't matter how far along you are, it still hurts. pull together with your husband, and it does get easier. hugs to you both x
