Hi Nat - What about a "Memories Cushion"? Aspen & Brown make and personalise them. They're absolutely gorgeous. I bought one when my baby was born, as a keepsake. It has her name, date of birth, weight and the day she was born on it and has a Beatrix Potter theme, although you can choose what you like. My little boy will be one this christmas (23rd Dec)! So Christmas last year we got him a litle teddy bear which said my first Christmas 2006 - something that he can keep for years to come. What about a baby gym(if you do not already have one) or a door bouncer - my little boy loved his until he outgrew it or maybe a baby walker this was also a favourite until he outgrew it. Hope this helps. Or a playmat with different colours/shapes/textures/flaps etc on....
