Coming of the pill...... How Long?

I was on the pill for 10 years and thought it would take about 5 months or so at least to conceive. To be honest I thought it might take longer. Therefore I didn't mentally prepare and then I got pregnant the very first month! I am obviously thrilled and feel very lucky it was so straight forward. However I did feel a bit odd and a bit like a fraud as there was no definite 'trying' stage. I think a lot of women my age (late 20s) are confused about fertility as we are constantly hearing and reading stories about women struggling to get pregnant and using IVF/ special supplements etc. I felt rather annoyed that when I was younger we were so scared about getting pregnant from being anywhere near a boy and then, in reality it is actually quite hard to conceive. That was all before I fell pregnant aprox 5 weeks after coming off my pill though.......

I don't think women are more likely to becomes pregnant... could be true though. Try to relax, just enjoy the 'baby dance' (sex) and it will happen soon enough. Some people get pregnant between 1 and 3 months but others can take 8 - 12 months! Varies from woman to woman. x

Hiya, I was on the pill for 2 years and I was taking it without a break (so i didn't have periods) cos of my endometriosis and I was amazed that it only took me 2 months to get caught :-)

i was on the pill for 5yrs,and it took me a month to fall!!

Was on the pill for 12 years and came off it in July 08 and still trying :-( xx

i came off the pill last march and fell preg in may - so it took a month - due this thurs!!

hi all!! i ave bin off da pill injection now 4 about yr n 5 months. do any1 no how lng it takes to become preg aft. we ave bin tryin but nothin as happened yet. i was on da injection 4 about 18 months. thanks x
