I was'nt entiltled to it any way hun other wise id have stuck it out! I really dont know why we have to stand just think they like to cripple you! They are totally unsympathic to what it is like being pregnant!
least that something that you wouldn't have got maternity pay anyway! i think managers often get out of control on all their crazy power lol. i have a bitch like that at work atm. keep telling myself she can't last much longer- someone in higher management is gonna notice one these days that the lazy power mad cow does sod all work! x x
i am so sorry to hear you were treated this way. i hope everything works out for you. i would write a letter to the company you work for and make a formal complaint about the way you have been treated. good luck with everything

hi, i got a hard time when i was pregnant too from my female supervisor. you'd have thought that someone who was a mother of 3 herself would be more understanding when i said i couldn't stand for long periods of time or carry high chairs, travel systems etc down from the stockroom at 7 and half months gone, stupid cow.
anyway, i can understand why you didn't go work yesterday- it was incredibly icy out there- had a nightmare walking with my daughter in her pushchair round to my mums so that i could go work, i totally see where you coming from. they should let you sit down at work- why must you stand anyway, let alone in heels? it really isn't good for you, especially the further along you go. it's shame you felt the need to tell this silly little man where to shove his job though- bet he's thrilled at not having to pay you any maternity pay! best of luck with everything x x
Hi every one,
Here goes im now 5 months pregnant and Me and my husband moved back here from Cyprus (He is in the army and got posted there for 2 years) Now we have moved back i got a job as a receptionist in a hotel i have been working there from September 2008 up untill today. I called yesterday and said i could'nt go to work because of the weather. Anyway today i came in to work and the boss told me i was pathetic and started laying into me about not going into work. He did not let me explain that i could'nt because of the black ice in my close and we could'nt get up the hill people kept sliding back down in there cars! Also i have to stand in heels for long periods of time and no chairs are provided for me to sit down. Anyway i walked out today and told him to stuff his job. Do you think im being unreasonable?
