Please help need advice bout electricity pylons!!!!!

Hi hope someone out there can help. We are currently lookin for a new house we've found the perfect 1 but its about 50-100yrds away from electricity pylons and i'm worried about childhood cancer. All the research that me and my hubby have found on the net is not very good and say that microwaves and mobile phones give as much magnetic energy as pylons. However my hubby has spoken to a couple of electricians at work and they said they wouldn't buy near pylons! We are now gettin ready to walk away but don't want to miss out on this fantastic house but don't want to put my cj=hildren at risk! Anyone got any experience with this issue please please help!!!!

Thanks for your opinions so far i tend to agree that no house is worth that sort of risk! Also i'm thinkin the same about resale, we spoke to estate agents who say we are the 1st people to ask about pylons which i can't believe! So think we are goin to leave it well alone but would still love to hear your opinions!!

Hey, I tend to think that I would not buy a house next to a pylon, and you have to think too that if you ever wanted to sell it in a few years that you may have trouble (if potential buyers were worried), we too are looking for a house and i have seen a great house next to a pylon, it also has a great price tag which makes think that's why. TBH i don't think we (society) know enough about th effects to take the risk. Good luck in your search and whatever you decide. X
