Rhiannon is too intelligent for her own good as she can open my tumble dryer to get the drying balls out, unplug the extension lead it's plugged in to from the wall and pulled a bit of plastic off of the bath door I didn't even realise was there!
It's like having a naughty puppy in the house again!!! I've tried to baby proof the house as best as I can but she still seems to be able to find things I have missed ... lol
im struggling to get my baby of 8 months old to eat vegetables any suggestions?
Hi I used to mix veg into cheese sauce or make veg. fritters so my son could pick them up to eat. He also love roasted veg such as carrot and parsnip or sweet potatoe as this makes it quite sweet then you can mash it up into a thick mash and they can help you feed it to them as it stays on the spoon.
Keep trying as my health visitor said" babies might need to try something several times before they like it. Persevere." and she was right.
Try giving vegetables as finger foods so your baby can feed himself. Just stay with him to make sure he doesn't choke on the food. Put veg with pasta and mash it up so that it is the right consistency for your baby's age or mix a bit of cheese in with the vegetables. Most babies love cheese!
Hi I had the same problem when I started weaning.I thought my baby would end up with a sweet tooth as he only liked fruit puree. He hated carrots and any strong tasting veg at first.Try giving your baby sweet veg such as sweet potato, butternut squash or parsnips and try mixing it with a little pear, apple puree or baby rice while your baby gets used to the taste then reduce the amount of fruit or rice as they get used to eating it.The best time to try this would be lunch time too.Keep trying they will eat it eventually.X
Hey there. Try any veg but add parsnip as well. It's sweeter than most other veggies and makes other vegetables taste yummy. My baby loves all veggies, as long as I've added parsnip!! Ros x
i guess its the taste he will eat carrot mixed with apple and thats about it. he does enjoy baby rice i will give that a try. thanks for your help
Why will he/she not eat them? Is it the taste? or texture? Could you try mixing veg with something he does like (eg baby rice) and gradually increase the amount of veg as he gets used to the taste?
