Biting and hitting

Hi, my son sometimes does this and it's really embarrassing. Maybe your son's finding it hard to express himself - is he speaking yet? If not, he might be biting and hitting to convey the way he's feeling. Don't be too harsh on him, but explain calmly that he shouldn't do it, as it hurts the other child.

Hi, My 19 month old has started to hit and bite people if he doesn't get his own way. It has coincided with him starting nursery so I don't know if he has learnt it off another child. Has anyone had this problem before or any tips on what i should do?

my son is also nineteen months and has recently bit his older sisters cheek and a very young babies lip....its nothing to do with speaking as he speaks very well(like a two plus in fact)...i think its attention as he has two younger brother and sister twins...and was normally very good...so much so you could leave him to his own devices...more attention is the answert i think...though not too much in case he thinks 'ah..so i bite someone and i get more attention....right more biting it is then'
