Thanks i have changed his milk now from SMA Gold - White and now on Cow and Gate for hungry babies he is on between 4-5 oz he will take this sometimes and sometimes just leaves a little and then wants more soon after. He wriggles a lot when feediing and then pushes his bottle out, i try to tempt him for more if he has left a very little amount but then triues to chew the teat and plays with it, he also is grumpy after his feed even though i have given him gripe water and winded him. I hope by the new year he will settle down it is just hard to keeop up with making the bottles and not having a chance to eat anything myself. Does anyone else have any ideas on food that is easy and quick to eat as i am just to tired to eat.

My daughter was just the same when i was breast feeding, i though about weaning early but was advised against it. Unfortunately it just takes a lot of perseverance and patience. Try increase the amount the milk you feed your little one or even change the formula that you use, there are milks out there for hungrier babies but he's still a little too young for them yet.. Hang in there, it will settle down, even though you do think it at the moment. Good luck. Sarah

hi, as previous poster has said, please do give solids yet. At this age their stomachs can't handle anything other than milk. Your little one is probably going though a growth spurt which happens at about this age. His feeding will settle down in a few days. how many oz's is he drinking at each feed? maybe offer him more milk at each feed, he may take a little more and go a bit longer between feeds. Also speak with your hv as they are there to help. Good luck, his feeding will settle.

please don.t be tempted to give solids yet just keep with the milk the eating often is normal i.m sure youve been told but solis now would be a bad thing their tiny stomach couldnt handle that for sure... i t does get easier just try diff milks too farleys is good too good luck

I have a 7 week old baby boy who keeps wanting to eat every 1 1/2 - 2 hours and will not rest until then i have changed his milk to SMA White but still that is not enough, i am now thinking of giving him rusks in his milk or mashed banana or something please does anyone else have any other ideas i know they say wait till he is 4 months but he really does want to eat all the time. Help and advice would really be nice.
