Infant car seats for triplets. PLEASE HELP!

Hiya, am having triplets and i need 3 carseats! After finding out it was triplets rather than twins, i was advised to get brand new car seats with extra padding etc. Was looking online and the Jane' ones looked really padded and comfy, obviously will need to get extra head and side supports. Also i was wondering about the combination car seats on the mothercare websites - it says you can have them from birth then turn them when they get bigger. Is this a bad idea for prematures? Was just thinking as its going to be another £550 ish in 9 months for 3 more carseats. But if you think this is a bad idea please say! Will have to have the 3 baby seats all next to each other, then 2 in the back - they should all fit as i have a big 4x4 with 7 seats (thankgod) The price isnt a problem, as long as the seat is very safe etc. Anyone with preemies have any suggestions? ANY advice PLEASE! xx Thankyou

Well good luck whateva you choose...i do think in your situation the ones that rear face and forward face would be a great idea on saving some penney's,but all depends how much you would be using the infant carrier ones...most mums use them alot to carry baby around the shop or use as a travel system,i doubt you'll be able to do that lol!! so the multi position ones may be better in the long term!!

Lol im not really that bothered about buying the conversions to save money to be honest, i'd rather them be safe. Like you say they'll probably be using them longer than normal babies!
Hmm i dont like travel systms tbh, babies arent supposed to be in their car seats for longer than 2 hours, and i travel around a lot and to get anywhere i have to go in the car as we live in the middle of no where so it wouldnt be much use anyway! lol

My other daughter who is nearly 3 now wants a new hello kitty carseat, she got very excited when we were talking about carseats cos she thought i ment we were all getting new ones!
I've looked on some premie sites and they reccommend some that have 5 point harnesses and extra padding and safety etc so i might go for one of them! The concord Ion looks quite nice, and the Jane Matrix cup and Jane Strata. Seen them before? xx

Hmm maybe i should get the infant ones, they'll probably be in them longer than most anyway. I'd rather them be safe.
Well i've already ordered some head rests, which go down and support the whole body and they go in carseats and buggies!
Thats probably a good idea! Maybe we'll take a family trip to the carseat shop (?!) tonight :]

She is great! Shes actually got 4 Renolux 360's in her car for childminding kids, so i'll look at them too. But was thinking theres no point in having 3 because i could only use the 360 thing for 2 carseats, cos the other would be in the middle and couldnt move. Unless i had it in the front, which is mylast resort really. xxx
sounds like a fun trip =p
Wow you sure have a lot to think about! Bet you're glad you found out now and didn't just give birth to three on the day and panic! lol.
Tbh, my little boy was in his infant carrier until he was about 9 months old and he was 6lb8 when he was born, so assuming they'll be pretty tiny when they're born you'll probably get a good use out of them! Gosh I hope you have a big house, I don't know where I'd put another one baby never mind an extra three! hehe =]

We have a car seat that can be used both ways, although we didn't get it til we used it as a forward facing one as we had a travel system. It reclines really far though, and I'm pretty sure it came with some padding so I would say it would be pretty safe. I know they're not always useful but maybe you could ask someone in a shop what they think! Congrats on your news btw, thats so exciting! And great that your childminder's being so great about it =]
