I went through a phase of craving - Granny Smith apples (??) and Cream cakes (I don't even like cream cakes haha) so I know what you are going through! The only bonus for me being so ill was I didn't even miss booze haha!
I have major cravings for Danish Pastries right now. I don't understand why because i'm only 5-7weeks. But people have told me that it's fairly normal. But the Danish Pastries are making me feel sick because they are so sweet, but I can't stop eating them. I suppose i'll just have to grin and bear it and try and stay away from them! As if giving up smoking and drinking in 3 Hours wasn't enough!
That was what I did in the end - towards the end of my pregnancy I found that if I ate little and often it did help ease the sickness! My work mates used to laugh their heads off at me wondering what concoction of food I would be trying & would it be the miracle cure hehe!
Well ... I think I have found a way around the sickness, and it's going to sound quite weird. But whether I eat or not, I feel sick or am sick. So I have decided that I will eat when ever I feel hungry and eat as much as I want, then deal with the consequences later. Because either way i'm going to feel ill. If i'm not sick then it's a bonus and I have the energy from the ton of food I have just eaten to help me with the tiredness.
It's a weird way of working it out ... but it works for me.
oh yeah forgot I tried those to - lucky thing they have worked for you - didn't for me :o( haha
hi everyone, this is my first pregnancy and i have suffered from extreme sickness and was visting the doctors and hospital at least once a week, and was very close to being put on a drip because how much weight i had lost. and then it calmed down after about 5 weeks when i went out and brought sea bands. (which go on your wrist and stop the sickness when traverling or with morning sickness) well i never thought they would work but i havnt been sick in 4 days now and feel so much better now, and any one which suffers with morning sickness should try them.
HI MissLisa
You poor thing - this is bringing back memories!! I had sickness 24/7 from week 6 up to week 28!!! then I was only ill a few times a week until I gave birth to my little girl in August! I know how you are feeling but it honestly is worth it - I was adamant this would be our first and only child haha but as soon as you have given birth you do forget how bad it was!! I found eating little and often helped and eating plenty of carbs and quite bland food (so it wasn't as bad when you were ill!!) I had a real thing for ready salted crisps, I couldn't drink tea (not good as I was a tea monster haha) but I just tried to drink as much water as poss!
Just get as much rest as you can - make the most of putting your feet up :o)
stick with it and just keep trying different things until you find what works for you! Good luck and fingers crossed you won't feel ill for too much longer! xx
I found out I was pregnant on the 30th December. I'm not sure how far along I am, somewhere between 4-6weeks. But already I have bad sickness, tiredness and broken sleep. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the sickness? Or to help me sleep a little bit better? This is my first pregnancy and i'm only a few weeks in and i'm already tired of it!! If any of you could let me know I would be very greatful. Lisa
hello missLisa, i found out i was pregnant at 6weeks and am now 12weeks, believe me they have been the longest 6 weeks of my life. i had sickness 24/7 for a month and had to have pills from doc to stop it tho if you are struggling to keep anything down youl be advised to go for fizzy and ginger biscuits these didnt help me at all, try half a slice of brown bread, dry unfortunatly. water was awful too,try tea but leave the tea bag in it really helped. also soups and soft food like if you had a sore throat cos the lumps in food made me gag.
Tiredness is unfortunate but gets worse, i havent found anything to cure it except put up with it, im getting early nights about 8pm i know its bad but when your sickness passes itl ease a little bit as you wont be losing so many nutrients, keep trying to take your folic acid though.
xxxxxx
