SOME PEOPLE!!!

Sorry to moan on people, but it really gets on my nerves when people are inconsiderate to pregnant women. I went into town this afternoon and caught the bus afterwards to come home, it was full and i ended up standing up. I'm quite big now, and it's obvious i'm pregnant by just looking at my bump, but not one person offered me a seat. Considering there was young healthy men and women sat down, and who had clearly noticed me, I think this was really rude! I might be over-reacting abit but If I had have been in their position I would of happily given up my seat. Anyone else been in situations like these, or similar? Sorry for over reacting again, xx

lol, I get that where I work too but I refuse to serve them and send them to the back of the queue, telling them that it is company policy that we don't allow queue jumping!!! he he - maybe it is a little mean of me but I treat all my customers the same regardless!!
aint mean at all. the old fogies are the biggest whingers when someone jumps the queue, very unforgiving! i always tell them to go to back of the queue or wont serve anyone. that usually does the trick- everyone in the q starts on them and they skulk to the back! x x

old people are worst in general imo. i work in a shop very popular with old biddies and they ALWAYS push in! they're so blatant bout it when you point out to them that there is a queue of 20 or so irate people who have been patiently (ok not always) waiting, its always the same "oh sorry dear, didnt see them. but seeing as i'm here and very old but endearingly doddery could you hurry up and serve me? i'm in a terrible hurry". GRRR! either that or they pretend they dont hear you... GRRR! x x

thats sooo true....like the world owes them a favour!!!!! Old men are always considerate though...always gentlemen ....bless them xxx
old men are usually friendlier and often like to flirt- which i dont mind coz their generations' flirting was alot nicer than ours is lol. much rather be told i look like lauren bacall (i dont but hey thoughts there) than be asked "fancy a quickie love? back to mine before missus gets home." no ta think i'll go wash my hair x x

Ha ha, I got offered a seat on a train a while ago - when I wan't pregnant!!!! (seriously, I'm not actually THAT huge, I do have a belly, but honestly, I'm not just saying it, I'm not massive!). When I actually was pregnant or using a baby carrier, I just always ask people, I think they just don't notice, or don't think, I don't think it's malicious. I probably don't notice every pregnant woman on a bus, I'm in a world of my own most of the time!

Just had a laugh reading these posts. When I was 8 months pregnant people thought I was about 5 - only just showing through my winter coat. No-one ever gave up their seat and I was always afraid of being elbowed or knocked over. Oh and it gets worse when you actually have your baby!! After a month  I used a baby carrier. People can see am carrying a baby yet they still push pass to get on the bus or tube first!! and STILL do it. I feel like I have to wear a shield around me. Oh and as for giving up a seat its like am even more invisible now than before!!!

I find that old ladies are the worst.....i got on a bus yesterday and an old woman got on and said excuse me love but that seat is for the elderly and disabled...as i am elderly i would like to sit down....ordinarily i wouldnt mind....but i am 27 weeks pregnant (and obviously so) with hugely swollen ankles and an amazing headache to boot (not that she'd know about the headache)....but she still made me move so that she could sit down.....how bloody rude!!!!

I have had this too. What else happened to me was that when I was walking up to the bus stop to get the bus when I was heavily pregnant, the bus driver could see me coming in his mirror, he waited til I got level with the back of the bus and then deliberately pulled away! It really annoyed me as I was walking fast as I could and probably faster than I should have and no way in hell was I going to run! Worst thing is, it happened another two times and even when I complained, they didn't care in the slightest! Really annoys me still that people treat pregnant woman like this.
