My parents used to take me and my sis camping and I hated it but have to admit I am coming around to the idea cos can't afford hotels! Think I'd prefer a log cabin rather than a tent though! Do you know if Center Parks is expensive when you get there? It looks expensive!
Hey, center parcs is quite expensive for what it is, but we always have GREAT time when we go. When we first found out i was pregnant we went for 5 days (4 nights) and it was £1500+
And you literally get like an apartment, no food or anything. Then again all the pool facilities are included in the price.
I'd deffo recommend going - cant wait til we can go again! xx
Not at all!! Lots of people take children this young on very successful camping holidays. Good preparation is always the key to taking children on holiday and camping is no exception. The beauty about camping is that you are completely free to please yourselves with regard to mealtimes, bedtimes and activities.
The choice of campsite is important, try to find a site that has a launderette and a shop near by so that you don’t have to pack absolutely everything. Of course you don’t want to spend all your time washing and shopping but you cannot pack enough for every eventuality and if there is a sudden deterioration in the weather and everything gets wet you will need access to a drier! Try to find a site that is really family friendly and does not encourage large groups of teenagers or young adults as their needs are very different from a young family. There is no way to sound proof a tent and you do not want your children (or yourselves!) disturbed by late night parties.
Before you go on your holiday do make sure that both your children are happy going into a shower as you will not find a campsite with a bath, this may sound obvious but you’d be surprised how many people do not consider this before they go and then try to introduce a shower in a strange place with a queue of people waiting outside! You may also need to practice taking a shower with them as this is by far the easiest way to get them clean.
Routines can go a little astray on holiday but this doesn’t really matter as you can quickly establish a “holiday” routine that suits all of you. Bedtimes needn’t be so early – switch to the country routine of going to bed and rising with the sun! Have a lovely time – camping holidays at this age really can be great.
GO!!!! Its brilliant with kids we take our little girl all the time she first went camping at 5 months. Take your time and don't worry too much about keeping to what you normaly do at home. Ready beds are great with an extra quilt on the top, and we also have a blow up baby bath from mothercare which is great as not many campsites have baths and not many babys like showers. We find that the sites without a club house etc are much nicer with a little one but that is just personal preference.
Bay View campsite just outside of LOOE is a lovely little site - nothing special but very small, quiet and safe for little ones.

We're always going camping! Its great, you can literally be like hmm lets go camping this weekend! and off we go!
I would recommend just taking oldihsh clothes as they normally just run around in the campsite and everything!
Message me if you want to know anything ! xx
