pain under ribs

hi iv had a real bad pain under my ribs on one side for 2 hours now i cant move with out it killing me i had it yesterday when i was out shopping but it stopped when i sat downbut its not stopping now the baby is going on a mad one at the mo so i think hes fine its just me thats in pain! jus wondered if any1 else has this or knowss what it is thanks x

thanks for your replys it hurts most when im walking or moving so a stroll is out of the question i think il jus leave it for 2nite coz i gotta phone the M/W 2mro anyway so see what she says unless it gets any worse but it seems to be easing off for thr moment x

It could be baby kicking you there, but when I was at the hospital last week getting checked over because I had a tempature and really bad headaches the nurse kept asking me if I was getting any pains under my ribs? so I would maybe phone the maternity ward and explain your pain incase it is something important dont worry though im sure its just your baby being a little wriggler! xxxxxxxxxxx

I have something similar quite alot. I think it is just the baby pushing things up into your ribs as space is getting smaller. I find this happens more after big meals. Try going for a bath or a little stroll to get baby shifted a little bit, this helped for me.
