I am 8 weeks pregnant (or was) Two weeks ago I had light spotting so I went to the hospital (spain as I was on holiday) and I had a scan and the baby was okay! Unfortunately yesterday I had brown spotting and then I started to get long stringy blood cots (they were more brown than red) after about 5 hours it turned to blood with more stringy blood clots. I obviously went to the hosiptal to be told that I was more than likely having a miscarriage and I was not an emergency and that they had enough to cope with. Her exact words were, 'I am sure your baby is precious to you but do you actually realise how many people are in Milton Keynes, we've had five pregnancy bleeds today already so youll have to join the cue'. I was advised that a scan could be booked but I would be looking at waiting a week. I dont think I have ever been made to feel so terrible in my life and made to feel that both myself and my unborn baby is so insignificant. After a very restless sleep I continuously tried my midwife who was able to get an appointment for Wednesday (three days time). Is this really how prgenant women are treated. I was seen straight away abroad and now Im in my own country I dont even matter. The nurse at the hospital should be sacked as how could someone treat anyone in that way. I dont want anybody telling me of there experiences during their miscarriages as I really dont want to hear more damning evidence that this is the end of my baby but I just needed to get it off my chest. Me and my husband have been trying for 2 years to get pregnant and it just feels like I am never going to be a mother.........................!
p.s the dates change all the time lol, i started out with 26th october then had to have an early scan which apparently put me to 10th november then a few weeks later at my 12 week scan i was brough back to 6th november! i'm sure when i go for my next scan in a couple of weeks they will have something to say about the size again! lol xx

yey yey yey! soooooo glad all ok! i had brown discharge that lasted afew wks at beginin of my pregnancy wiv my son, they sed its old blood frm previous period! avent had it this time rnd tho! bodys r strange things eh! cant believe how awful u got treated by the hospital, id seriously put a complaint in abt that woman! she obviously cant cope wiv her job, at end of day she works in a caring profession, so shld know beta n ave beta ppl skills! but stuff her! how u feelin?? xxxx
Im feeling much better thank you! A little less stressed now! Its wierd though as they measured the baby and it is only 71/2 weeks although I am actually 9 weeks and I am completely accurate with my dates (I even had implantation bleeding). The Midwife didnt seem to worried but she just assumed I may be out with my dates. Ive got my proper dating scan in 4 weeks so we will see then. xxx
my god, that is disgusting, the nhs is so poor at times. that nurse should most definately be sacked!!! if i were you hun i would be putting in a major complaint!!!! you had a physical problem, but also, she made you feel emotional unwell by saying such awful nasty things!

I've just had my scan and the baby is okay!!! I am just so happy. Fingers crossed it stays like that! Thank you all for all your support it really did make me feel so much better! Its nice to know there are people out there that care its just ashame that doesnt include the NHS. xxxxxxxx Thank you!! xxx
