Newborn complications!!

Hi I'm hoping someone can give us some reassurance, as a mother myself to a 1 year old my heart has been broken in two as my sister-in-law gave birth yesterday to a beautiful baby boy but after 24hrs they have discovered that he has no rectum....has anyone ever heard of this? be honest, what is ahead of us as a family ??

i don't have any experience in this but saw a programme ages ago about a baby in similar situation and they performed an operation to correct it, like harley said try googling it but don't let it panick u more as everytime i google anything it always ends up scaring me even more, i'm sure your lil nephew will be ok and your family will all get through this n come out the other side good luck and thinking of your sis in law big hugs. xxx

oh no, im really sorry 2 hear that, must b awful, iv neva heard of this but was wondering ave u tried 2 google it n c wot info u can get frm it? im sure the hospital will do all they can 2 help, i wonder if they will ave 2 do an operation 2 mayb correct it? like i say im not 2 sure, sorry! i hope baby is ok n sendin u hugs xxxx
