Any advice girls?
I just bid on a set of OPK's on ebay, and have been given a choice of sensitivity.
20mIU is most sensitive and the recommended for most women,
30mIU is medium
40mIU is low sensitivity.
Web site suggests 20 mIU for most women unless you tend to have very high Lutenizing Hormone levels.
I have endo, and fibroids and suspect I may even have PCOS.
Any way doctor did "21 day progesterone test" though I got dates way out. My temp chart indicated when I had this test that I had ovulated, but Cervical fluid and length of luteal phase did not match this. Anyway LH levels were very high on test, and don't know if I had already ovulated or not.
What this means is... I don't know if LH levels are high or if this was due to ovulation.
Just tried to wee on a stick of 30mIU and it came up as very faint line. Problem is no other signs of ovulation, so does this indicate a high LH, and if so should I go for less sensitive test..
I don't know what sensitivity is best...
Any advice?
hi there, well im no doctor but if you anything like me if you use a low senstive and get a negitive but have other signs eg ur temp, then you will be thinking if its dwn to the low senstive test, if i was you i would het the most senstive so u can always be sure its right weathe ru have high LH or not this will give u peice of mind, !!! i have recently been told i have pcos also, trying for a baby but dont have regular peorods, good luck too you xx
Problem is that if I get them too sensitive they will keep coming up positive all the way through my cycle, and I'm wondering whether the faint positive on medium sensitivity is implying that I don't actually need the more sensitive ones.
Really confusing... though I think your response has helped me with what I'm tending towards, which is less sensitive ones. Hmmm!?! Shall wait a few days and then decide. Have a few medium sensitivity ones left to try in next couple of days.
So confusing isn't it all this TTC stuff.
Dodgy body doing giving me all sorts of messed up signs - really curious if specialists can even make any sense of it!
Any advice girls?
