Hi,
Let me introduce myself, I am Alison Brown one of the gurgle experts, I am a midwife and answer some of the questions that come up on the site.
I have just notice your thread and thought I would offer some advice.
All babies are different and there is a huge range of weight at this gestation.
In your notes the measurements from your scan will have been plotted on a percentile chart this will give you a rough idea of how big your baby is and you will be able to roughly see how big your baby is going to be. Get your midwife at your next appointment to explain it to you.
I take it that they were happy with your growth scan if there had been any concerns then they would invite you back for further investigtion.
Hope that has helped a little.
Kind regards
Alison
they said the baby weighing 5lb 10oz at 33 wks so they say going to be big got another growth scan in 4 wks x
Hey there - don't worry seriously. I had scans every four weeks due to a blood disorder I have and although it was nice it scared me!! Everytime I went they said oooohh baby is big etc. At 34 weeks it was 6lb, 36 weeks 7lb 14oz. When I went for my last scan at 38 and a bit weeks it was estimated at 9lb 4oz so I begged them to induce me by my due date which they did! She was 8lb 12oz at 39 and 3 days so they were fairly accurate but they didn't let the baby get too big. Honestly they will induce you if they feel it is big. Don't worry, apparently the bigger the better!!! All the midwives kept saying to me was we love big babies! x
