Yeh Lombok has gorgeous stuff but fffffaaarrrr too expensive me lol. I particularly love the bedding.
I doubt I would buy it here... as agree it's rediculous prices. just so glad I got mine in Singapore... if you ever travel via there... worth having a look and getting it shipped home as is really not that pricey to ship back.
Was dissapointed with shoe racks, but v happy with those from Argos. Useless quality wood, but so was the one in IKEA. Quite agree baby furniture from IKEA is a great idea! It's good enough quality for the amount of time you will need to use it but not too expensive.
We have looked at some other furniture (that is more expensive) and there is a difference in quality.
I got some gorgeous stuff from a shop called Barang Barang when I lived in Singapore... which I shipped back with me. Is similar to the stuff you get in a shop called Lombok here, but cost me a fraction of the price... sometimes a really special piece which will last a lifetime is worth investing in... but must say most of our furniture is IKEA.

I know what you mean, yesterday me and my sister were putting together a 6ft tall shelving unit from Argos that cost £50 (bought a year ago) and it was rubbish! Gonna take it immediately down the tip, hours of work wasted. But she bought one that looked identical in the catalogues from IKEA and she could put it together herself in no time, its v.sturdy, all the components are better quality and it only cost £20!!! So will have to buy myself one of them asap, get new carpet in then go back down to IKEA for the chests of drawers.

Has anyone bought and built the Hemnes 8 drawer chest of drawers or Hemnes tall 6 drawer chest of drawers? I am planning on getting the first as I have fallen in love with them and hope to get the second if I can feng shui it in lol. But even the smaller one comes in two large boxes and I highly doubt my skills are capable of making it look like the pic. So would like any and all details about them incl. if when they were built you realised the pieces had scratches on them? Im just hoping the showroom condtions are due to lots of people walking through the store.
