Hi,

Let me introduce myself, I am Alison Brown one of the gurgle experts, I am a midwife and answer some of the questions that come up on the site.

I have just notice your thread and thought I would offer some advice.

Sicknes is very common in pregnancy especially in the early weeks. It usually eases for most women at around 12 weeks but for others it can go on for much longer.

General advice is to eat little and oftern to try and keep your blood sugar at a constant level as it is thought that a low blood sugar can make the sickness worse. If you can not eat anything at least try and keep your fluids up.

If it really does become an issue and does not improve then you should speak to your doctor or midwife as they may be able to help.

Many mothers are concerned about the health of their baby as they are unable to take in adequate nutrition but some how your body is able to protect your unborn baby and even in extreme cases babies still grow as they should.

Hope it gets better soon

Kind regards

Alison
