He he yeah I feel gorgeous ; D I'm up north in lancashire and it was really warm today and it's stuffy and clammy tonight x bring o the thunderstorm!
lol, there will be people on here terrified of thunderstorms who will be cursing us! It's very stuffy in here, I'd open the window but it's stuffy outside too! =]
I love rain fullstop - the noise, the smell, the vibe in the air. But thunderstorms are electric. You are right that its better in a tent but I think you feel it more and it makes a great sound. I love being down in Devon where you can hear and feel the sea and then torrential downpours are amazing. You are right about potential floods but then weve never had one, always been on a slight slope or lucky.
Snowstorms are great too but no sound, just majestic flutters and a feeling of magic.
Okay I might sound weird now..
haha I'm so glad I'm not the only weird one! (no offense! lol)
We never had a flood either (in the whole 14 years I've went eurocamping!), but on the mightiest thunderstorm I've ever been in the campsite was on a downward hill lol, luckily we were at the top of it so our trench worked, but my dad was out in the rain helping the couriers dig trenches round everyone elses tents and a LOT of them had a river running through them! Cos my dad is the person who carries a shovel in the car when we go on holiday, along with a spare rain coat or 2 ;o) I just love rainstorms, love sitting with the window open, makes me feel so alive I think it's gorgeous =]
I LOVE thunderstorms in France! There are pros and cons to tents and caravans. Tents- it's much quieter, and the pounding is slightly more soothing and exciting rather than the roof is going to fall in, but there is more likelihood that you'll get flooded (we have many pics of my dad in full waterproofs digging a trench round the tent!). In a caravan this is less likely to happen, and you can open the window and smell the awesomeness without the fear of floating away, but it is VERY loud and near impossible to sleep. Am I a freak?? lol =]

I want to know where all this heat is?? Do you have sun?? Here it's just really clammy =[ no sun at all, but when you go outside it's really humid and feels like it's about to chuck it down (we had a thunder storm yesterday, was still blinking hot though!) Loving the thought of flannels on your feet, bet you feel attractive ;o)

OMG i totally know what you mean it was a Eurocamp in Vendee and we were in these caravans (3 families) and it was the most amazing thunderstorm ive ever seen. It was the last eclipse we went and the lightning was like bright pink and purple!
