REALLY REALLY FREAKING OUT PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

hi please help my friends little boy had hand foot and mouth so i kept away then my freind said oh he has the all clear to we spent the day togeter on tuesday now she just text me today and said the doctors now think she has hand foot and mouth been reading on the net that it can cause m/c i am just really worried x

Hi hun...I just looked it up on the NHS website and it said there is no major risk in catching when pregnant. It is rare for healthy adults to get it so your friend may not have it anyway. It says if you are near to giving birth and you catch it there is a chance the baby might need medication to help any side effects from the virus. There is a small m/c risk but it says if you are worried you have been exposed to speak to your doc. Sounds to me like you will be just fine, but maybe call your doc to ease your mind. hope that helps. xxx
hi thanks for replying i have been on the phone to docs and midwife they said no to worrie to much and i will need a blood test to make sure i dont have it! just i worrie about everything as its my first baby i am 27weeks on sunday and the midwife said m\c are more likely early on in pregnancy xxx
