my little chef!! :o)

hi girs i know all of this is probably total coincidence but im really shocked! yesterday i made a lamb stew and dumplings for dinner and made enough for me and alfie to have our lunch today so i left the flour suet etc on the side to make fresh dumplings today. when alfie got up he knew there was leftover stew (its one of his favs) so wanted some and i said no wait for lunch and i have to make the dumplings first anyway. i was sat in the living room watching tv and alfie was playing in kitchen (its a kitchen/dining area and also an open plan extension as a play room) i went in to see what he was doing and cudnt believe my eyes. he had a chair at my breakfast bar and a whisk in his hand mixing flour suet and water together exactly how i wud make dumplings! well i guess he did say he wanted some lol whats even more shcking is i decided to cook his dumplings expecting them to be hard and nasty and they was better than my ones :( they was perfect soft light and fluffy and we both throughly enjoyed them lol cant believe i got outcooked by a 2 year old and he didnt even get any help!!!! xxx

OMG i feel really thick now but what the he!l is 2 thirds i'm confused lol!! i do have a brain really, honest i do but just not used it for a while is it say 4 example 100grams of suet to say 300 grams of flour then if it is then i'll give em a go love dumplings. xx
yea just like that but i do it to eye rather than weigh it coz its just me and alfie so dont need loads they really are easy just make sure u dont use too much suet or they can go bit hard and remember to turn them ova after a while obv lol. they shud get bogger as they cook and be really light and fluffy and trust me they are much nicer than aunt bessies lol oh and sarah if i had the amount of kids u do especially new born twins id have a brain like jelly so i take my hat off to u lol xx
